THE TAKEAWAY

Score each criterion from zero to three: absent, advertised, demonstrated in a relevant sample, or corroborated by applicable evidence. Treat this as a proposed procurement framework, not an independent rating of Outsell or another provider.

The decision this guide helps you make

How do you compare ABM partners on specialisation, execution, proof and commercial fit?

You will leave with: A decision worksheet comparing advertised capability, demonstrated capability, corroborated delivery, with evidence and an accountable next step.

Use a scorecard with evidence, not impressions

Score each criterion from zero to three: absent, advertised, demonstrated in a relevant sample, or corroborated by applicable evidence. Treat this as a proposed procurement framework, not an independent rating of Outsell or another provider. Weight the criteria before a pitch so impressive visuals cannot replace an important requirement. An advertised service establishes what a partner offers; it does not establish delivery quality or outcomes. Apply the same standard to Outsell’s account programmes and to every other shortlisted operating model.

1. ABM specialisation: is the account the unit of work?

Ask for a target-account selection method, buying-group map, reviewed brief and a sales handoff from the same illustrative account. A keyword on a service page is weaker evidence than connected deliverables. Outsell’s Signal, Momentum and Signature programmes make account scope and depth central to the offering. The next proof step is inspecting those deliverables and the people responsible for them. A broad agency can also be a strong ABM partner; judge its operating practice rather than its label.

Clutch publishes its review-verification and provider-ranking methodology. Clutch: Research methodology.

The practical workflow

2. Target-market fit: does the team understand your buying problem?

B2B technology, SaaS, IT services and enterprise companies often require financial, technical and implementation evidence for different stakeholders. Request a sample for your solution, deal complexity and sales cycle. Product-led SaaS, a managed service and an enterprise migration are different propositions. Outsell’s enterprise positioning is relevant to this buying pattern, but a relevant positioning statement is not verified sector experience. Check how the team handles technical unknowns, validates specialist claims and adapts the research brief to your offer.

3. Execution capability: can the play move beyond a deck?

Review account research, committee mapping, content, LinkedIn, email, paid media and automation as a connected sequence. For each channel, identify the deliverable, access requirement, approval owner, operating limit and follow-up. A partner may recommend a channel without delivering it in the quoted scope. Outsell’s Momentum proposition includes coordinated journeys and sales plays; confirm the exact execution responsibilities in the engagement. Ask for a rehearsal that includes an unavailable contact, an unsupported claim and a paused activation.

The award guidelines describe assessment of marketing programmes; verify the exact recipient, year and category of any recognition claim. Momentum ITSMA: Award submission guidelines.

4. Sales-marketing alignment: who owns the opportunity decision?

Require shared account definitions, a handoff acceptance rule and a named sales owner. Useful marketing output should answer which account, why the timing is relevant, what evidence is confirmed and what conversation is proposed. Agree what sales returns when it accepts, rejects or defers the play. Outsell’s sales-play and account-progression framing makes this an important scope question. Count accepted follow-ups and buyer milestones with consistent definitions, rather than allowing a campaign dashboard to stand in for opportunity ownership.

5. Technology capability: show the permitted data path

Ask how HubSpot, Demandbase, your CRM, marketing automation, AI tools and reporting would exchange the necessary information. Review a field map, failure handling and the smallest permissions needed for the agreed task. Tool functionality does not prove agency integration capability. Outsell’s current offer establishes stack discovery and scoped access; particular certifications, partnerships or deployed integrations need their own evidence. A good proposal can explain why your existing tools are sufficient and where an additional platform would solve a demonstrated gap.

6. Evidence of results: establish what the numbers mean

Request published case studies or references with the account population, starting conditions, work delivered, observation period and outcome definitions. Separate account engagement, qualified opportunities, influenced pipeline, won revenue and calculated ROI. Ask whether media, agency fees, licences and internal labour are included in cost. A reported result can guide a discussion without predicting your return. Do not assign Outsell a results score from programme descriptions alone; move that score when applicable, verifiable delivery evidence is supplied.

7. Recognition: inspect the actual award or review record

For ITSMA recognition, confirm the issuing body, recipient, year, category and programme. For Clutch presence, inspect the profile and the relevance and verification status of individual reviews. Recognition can support confidence but cannot prove your specific account play will succeed. This guide makes no Outsell award, ranking or review-score claim. A buyer should prefer a clear evidence record over an unsupported badge, and give recent, comparable delivery evidence appropriate weight alongside recognition.

8. Geographic and cost fit: compare the whole delivery system

India-based delivery can be considered for Indian and global campaigns, but location alone does not establish lower total cost or better coverage. Compare time-zone overlap, language capability, regional buyer knowledge, workshop availability and specialist capacity. Include research, review, content, media, tooling and revisions in the cost model. Confirm Outsell’s actual delivery locations, rates and response commitments in the proposal. Price per asset is a weak comparison if one scope includes account discovery and another assumes the client provides it.

9. Relevance to your work: evaluate the account decision itself

For SAP services, examine technical validation, migration dependencies, business outcomes and implementation confidence. For enterprise AI, examine data suitability, evaluation evidence, deployment risk and commercial ownership. A robotics-data proposition may need a technical benchmark discussion before a buying-group campaign. Use these as illustrative fit tests, not statements of Outsell customer relationships. Select the programme depth around the desired buyer decision and available sales capacity. The best partner can explain both where the approach is useful and which prerequisite must be resolved first.

Your next-action checklist

  • Advertised capability: Request a relevant sample. Check the limitation: does not establish successful delivery.
  • Demonstrated capability: Inspect errors and review decisions. Check the limitation: may be a curated demonstration.
  • Corroborated delivery: Verify definitions and comparability. Check the limitation: results depend on starting conditions.

Use the comparison to choose a bounded next step. Record the evidence, the responsible owner, and the review decision before extending the play to additional accounts.

How to use the evidence

Read each reference against the claim it supports. Platform documentation describes capabilities; public cases report a publisher’s experience; research findings apply to the studied task and population. The workflow in this guide is an operating proposal to evaluate in your own account context.
